    THE WAR ELEPHANT

This war Elephant stand alone in the battle field after he defeat enemy battalions, actually he lives with tribal people if you notice the Armor all are made by wood they tied with some creepers.

Here, I used software is Z brush  4 and Photo shop with the help of  Wacom tablet, lets go  step by step process.

    2.png

    Step:1 Base mesh

I start base mesh in Maya for Zbrush with equal space of polygons, the equal polygons will help you to bring your sculpt without any breaks.

    3.png

    Step:2 Push & Pull

I used push and pull technique with the help of move tool, push and pull the geometry until you reach the exact shape according your concept.

    4.png

    Step:3 Alphas

After I finished the sculpting part, I used some alphas for the detailing part, I created the alphas from the original Elephant Image, select the parts which is really you need for your sculpt, go to photo shop.

invert ( Ctrl + I ) the images which you selected from the original image save as PSD and go to Zbrush.

import the alphas which you saved from your local folder now you can apply the alphas wherever you want on the sculpted Elephant.

    Step:4 Masking

Hold Ctrl+draw the mask on your sculpted Elephant for creating armor, use the extract button which I have shown below the masked area will be separate as a new sub tool then sculpt detail again on the extracted one your armor will  be ready.

    15.png

Ctrl+click on the empty area for inverse selection.
