In 2012, Microsoft took a fresh look at how their consumers use technology and launched a new wave of products –all designed to help the consumer conduct their lives in a faster, fluid and effortless manner.
While 2012 saw the release of some of the coolest products across virtually every category: Windows 8 with the new Internet Explorer 10, Windows Phone 8, cloud based email service Outlook.com and iconic Xbox Games with Halo 4, Forza Horizon, Nike+Kinect; 2013 will bring Microsoft New Office, which is cloud connected and designed to work across devices as well as new hardware accessories for Windows 8 users with the Microsoft Wedge Touch Mouse and the Microsoft Wedge Mobile Keyboard.
Windows 8 OS
Launched on October 25th, 2012, the OS comes with a new smooth and intuitive start screen and tiles that are brimming with content, and update in real time. Windows 8 is natively cloud-connected and users only need to sign in once with their Microsoft account, to ensure that all the things they care about most including mails, calendars, contact, pictures etc. are seamlessly synced across multiple devices.

Windows 8 has thrown away the old concept of unmoving, icon- based system of navigation and come up with a clean, modern, fast and fluid user interface and Start Screen which lets consumers arrange information just the way they like it. Windows 8 OS also features the blazing fast Internet Explorer 10, with one box for both address and search bar for speedier navigation. Users can also pin favorite sites to the Start screen for easy access.

Windows Phone 8
Further to the overwhelming response to Windows Phone 7.5, Microsoft took another leap and launched Windows Phone 8 on October 29th, 2012. Making the device more personal, the new OS comes refreshed with resizable live tile and live apps, Rooms, amazing Skype integration, Kid’s Corner, IE10, Word Flow, SkyDrive and a lot more.
Cool Quotient : Fact is mobile phones are irresistible to young children. To keep both children and the consumer’s data safe while the kids are at play, Windows 8 Phone an innovative Kid’s Corner lets parents create a customized phone with their own Start Screen for children keeping their safety in mind. Its’ also the only phone which has the Rooms feature that lets users create customized group chats. And then there are the Live Tiles.
Winning Performance: With a common OS, users can now edit a document on the go with Windows Phone 8 and pick right up again on a PC later. Plus no display ads or large search boxes that take up that extra space. Outlook.com automatically sorts your messages from contacts, newsletters, shipping updates, and social updates, and with sweep you can move or delete them in a few clicks.
Cool Quotient : Outlook.com, the refreshing new mail service is cloud connected, modern and syncs Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google, and will soon connect with Skype too. You can view pictures of your friends, messages, status updates, chats, calls – all powered by an always up-to-date contact list that is similarly connected to those networks.
